Getting started

The making of a good photo.

There are no doubt it, a good photo takes practice or simple LUCK.
I watch a lot of websites made from pro photographers, so when I got my camera, I thought that it would be the easiest thing in the world.
Well well surprise surprise, it was not.

I quickly learned, that it takes a lot of practice and all the words in the instructions manual are there fore a reason.
A modern DSLR camera, has a lot of different settings besides AUTO.

My camera was not the most modern a the time, but anyway I was amazed by all the different things you could do with it.

This was also a huge inspiration for me, because if you just reed a little bit about the camera, all your pictures turned out, much better then I ever thought possible.

Don´t stress yourself if you can´t make it work the first hundred times, this is quit normal, even the pro´s takes hundreds of pictures, maybe thousands, before they get the perfect photo.

Don´t think, that you have to go out and spend thousands of dollars on equipment, that you might not know have to use anyway, just to take good photos. Anybody can do it (PRACTICE)

Before U start:

I strongly recommend: Reed the instructions manual, a little bit at a time, and practice every setting.
Try taking pictures of everything that you can think of.
Take a lot of pictures, they can always be erased.
And remember: A good picture is not always what everybody else thinks.

There are a lot of sites out there where U can get your photos evaluated, if this could be of interest.
No matter what, these pages, can only help you become a better photographer.

I would recommend:
www.flickr.com
www.zooomr.com
Picasa Web album (Where U also get Googles (Picasa) free editing program.

A picture says more then a thousands words !!!

You know the saying.

It is cool to know,, that if you take a picture, you have frozen a moment in time, and you will never get that specific moment again.
